Mine makes his little bubbles and dashes back down. I heard he's making a bubble nest, some sort of ritual to impress the ladies. I also read that betta fish are mainly from the waters of Thailand and places there so the water is pretty warm. I was reading and I read that they become less active when the water is a little chilly. But hey, I don't know for sure since i'm just a beginning beta fish owner...
