My beta seems to be very sick. A few days ago we changed the water. The filter had stopped working, so I needed to change it sooner due to algae. He was ok before the water change. We bought him a new filter. At first in the new water he was fine; however, the next morning, we noticed that the new filter had overheated the water--it was very hot. We took the filter out. Now he just lays on the bottom on his side or floates on the top. He doesn't care about food, he doesn't come to see us, and he doesn't blow bubbles. I went to the pet store yesterday. They tested the water (it was fine), gave me a new filter (the one I used to have--they fixed it), and said give him a few days. Well, this morning I thought he was dead (laying on his side on the bottom)--he's not, he's now floating on the top of the water & his fins are barely moving. He's no longer puffed up & he doesn't come to see us.

Help!!!
