Found what appears to be a very small baby robin on the ground - apparently either fell or was pushed out of its nest, yesterdy afternoon. It was quite active - about 2 1/2" beak to butt. I brought it inside very carefully and placed in a 4x6 cardboard box lined with shredded newspaper. Having 4 Zebra Finches, I thought I would try a mixture of Vanilla Yogurt with an egg yolk, and guess what it not only survived the night but is starting to make little chirps. We feed it this mix about every half hour. Guess our little grotto to St Francis is watching over us. We feed and provide birds with a water bath & word has spread far & near - Bless the beasts and the birdies!
