I found 4 baby birds on the ground and I could tell that they were very young because they had very little fethers. I'm not sure what kind of birds they are but I have been raising them for around 2 weeks and they have not developed red breasts as robins would have. When I found the baby birds I called my Grandpa who is an old country veterinarian and he said that if I fed the birds raw hamburger soaked in 2% milk every hour from around 9 a.m. to dusk that they may live and so far all 4 of them are doing really well. In about a week I plan on introducing cut-up earthworms to them that I will eventually begin to have them eat the worms off the ground. I think it is OK to love on the birds alittle by petting them but the over all goal is to release these birds back into the wild so I want them to have a fear of most people. I hope this helps someone in the future who has a good heart and who has taken on the responsibility of taking care of these vulnerable little babies.
