Subject:         new beta owner

Hey everyone! I just got a beta fish yesterday and I already do not know what is wrong with it. I have tried to feed it twice but it does not seem to be eating. All the food is at the bottom of the vase under the marbles. Can he get under the marbles to eat? My fish does not swim around, it only "lays" on top of the marbles. I heard that a reason this could be is because the water is too cold. Im going to try to warm up the water but could anything else be wrong?? Please let me know!!!!! Thanks
