answer to question one: Well do you have an air vent somewhere in your bedroom? i reccomend setting him near the heating vent at night. Betta water can drop to 65 degrees without harming the beta so its ok if its not quite as warm. also, i believe that the beta can sleep in the light, once he get used to it, he probably won't even mind it. answer to question two: Have you ever seen those underwater back ground sheets for large fish tanks? They have rolls of them at Petco. I reccomend buying teh background you like and taping it to the back and sides of your fish tank ((on the outside)). it will stop your beta from seeing his reflection, and it will look nice. well I really hope that i could help!
