I had the same exact problem with my two beta fish herbert and spudd((they are in separate bowls.)). the flakes and pellets would not work and they were liek never even moving. then i recieved a sample pack of "Hikari" fish food in my "bowl buddies" water conditioner for them and that was the firs time i really saw them eat. i would reccomend you try feeding them that and use 3 pellets 3 times a day. i just ran out and they don't sell it at the pet place that i go to so i baught "Wardley". i reccomend staying away form it, my fish HATE it.
