I have 3 betas....i've actually have had 4 total and all of them have lived an extremely long time. Just about a month ago my oldest beta Herbert got the same hump on his belly as you described. I was worried as well, but it eventually went away. How often do you feed your beta? Because I was feeding him a lot during that time and I think thats what caused it. Feed him only a couple pellets per day and give him a few days and see what happens. I'm pretty sure its nothing. Hope this helps!
