A lot of us have immune-compromised dogs. I don't 'barf' for a lot of reasons, mostly because of the health state of my dogs. But I know a lot who do. My holistic vet and I have talked a lot of about it and she recommends it to many. But I'm in Florida, first of all, and I wouldn't trust ANY meat source here enough to barf unless it was a frozen pre-packaged thing (freezing kills bacteria for those just casually reading this - I know Mags knows that). But we've decided it's too high risk for my severely immune-compromised dogs. Lorrie Harvey does, and Tracyzoe does some barf as she can. If a dog gets a good round of modified-live vaccines when it's young for the things it WILL encounter, that's all they usually ever need. We do pet therapy with all our dogs and I constantly have to 'prove' vaccinations, so they have to be properly licensed (so I have to give rabies once in 3 years), but I pull titers for the rest and I've never had anyone REFUSE that as "proof of vaccinations". Like you, I don't vaccinate any more. Same reasons!
