I was waiting for a friend to pick me up. I was sitting by the back door and Beau was near me chewing on a large bone. He was tethered by a clothes line. I did not want him to be hard to catch when my friend arrived because I planned to put him back in the house for a few minutes. As I watched him he managed to turn around once and put his hind legs in a loop of line. He then turned around again to try to fix this and found himself even worse off in two loops of clothesline. He stood there trapped for a few seconds considering what to do and then, are you ready for it? He put his head way down under him and turned a perfect somersault on the grass. When he righted himself the coils had fallen off his legs. He seemed satisfied with himself and went back to his bone. I would not believe it had I not seen it. He seems quite dense sometimes, but this was a brilliant solution. He must have thought it through. Not bad for a 3 ˝ month puppy.
