Subject:	HELP with an adopted abused dog!!!

My family has adopted a 3 year old dog hound mix. This
will be her 3rd home. We don’t know anything about her 1st
home and her 2nd home she lived outside 24/7. It is very
obvious that she has been abused by a man. We have 3 small
children and she is good with them but my husband she hides
from or cowers to. She will not take any treats from him or
eat her food when he is in the room. We have had her for 1
month. A week ago she bite my nephew in the face. He was
sitting on the floor and he got in her face. I have noticed
she does not like anyone or even other dogs charging her.
My husband punished her by a spanking and putting her in the
garage. Now we have really taken two steps backwards. Is
there any recovering from this?
