Hi Callie:
First, thank u for taking the time to respond.
I've been checking resources wherever possible, &,
have learned a lot. There's a website called (i
think) Gentle World, &, they have given me link to
Facebook, that I think was called vegan dog
nutrition.
Both locations have been enormously helpful, &, as
I've suspected, vegan dogs are living much longer
than non-vegan dogs, esp. w/the appropriate
supplements.
I've now learned about Cranimals, which sells a
cranberry kind of supplement which could have helped
w/my dogs' bladder issues, &, I could have kept them
on the standard vegan dog foods sold at the stores.
Or, I could have continued making the food,
w/different recipes - better than what I was, but,
making sure to use vegedog, plus other supplements.
And, this facebook, &, gentleworld seems to be great
support sites for vegan dogs.
And, just heard from friend that she's had vegan
dogs many years, very healthy, 2 lived til 15 yrs,
&, her current 3 vegan dogs are 7, 7, & 11 yrs, all
doing well.
I'm thrilled to finally have people/support to get
for future dogs that I may adopt.
Just thought I'd let u know in case anyone else
needs help in this area in future - there are places
for them to get it.
Thank u again for checking this site.
