Subject:	vegan dog challenges - ?'s - would greatly appreciate help

I've had vegan dogs for the past, about 25 years. I've
mostly used the standard dog foods (dry/canned) like Natures
Recipe, &, have probably tried every brand. I've had
challenges w/my dogs doing well on them. Especially,
w/either developing bladder infections in last 2 older dogs,
plus, they've lost weight, &, have acted frantic to start
eating either dog or cat poop. I started making their food
to attempt to improve but, not w/good results.

I'm writing now, as unfortunately, my current dog died
today. Her symptoms were extreme anxiety & panic, always
starving/absolutely frantic for food, lost weight, was
eating about 5 cups per day (she was a lab mix & came to me
a good weight of about 44 lbs), plus treats, yet starving.

She was 14 yrs old. I only adopted her a year ago at 13 yrs
old. Yes, she did come to me w/other issues, &, didn't know
how long she'd live, but, other dogs I've had have not lived
this long.

Does anyone have any great experience w/vegan dogs, their
dog foods, etc? I realized it would be very helpful to have
a vegan animal support group, &, it occurred to me to check
this site &, suggest they start one. But, saw this area &
thought I'd see if there are knowledgeable people
w/successful vegan dogs.

Thank u so much. I'm very grateful to hear whatever I can
learn to improve any future rescues I adopt.
