We recently bought a 10 month old dog from a shelter and she is still very nervous. She is fine with my children and myself, but she will not go into a room if my husband is in there. She hides from him and watches his every move with her tail between her legs. She is also not very playful...she would rather sit and watch than participate. My husband is the one who surprised us with her and she clung to him all the way to our home. She was brought to the shelter after being born into the house of an animal hoarder. We have an agreement with the shelter that she can be brought back if she isn't a good fit,and my husband is thinking of sending her back as he is upset that the dog is afraid of him. The kids love her and don't want to get rid of her. How can we get her and my hubby to make friends?
