You should have emailed me!!
You gotta get the liver numbers down -- SAM-e (get Cell Food SAM-e NOT regular human SAM-e - the pils are enteric and she can't digest them)
Milk thistle also -- it's not the big detox that SAM-e is but it will help and will help with liver function as well. Email me your address now and I'll mail you some. You want bulk herb NOT capsules -- too expensive.
Vets HAVE Marin (milk thistle) and Denosyl (SAM-e) but they are pricey and she probably couldn't digest them.
Liver toxins shunt to the brain (renal toxins shunt TO the stomach -- then you really ARE *sick* to your stomach -- but liver toxicity just makes you FEEL sick to your stomach.
Lactulose will help -- that bonds with liver toxins and gets them out of the body, but it IS a laxative so it's not convenient. It will help tho!!!
Between the milk thistle, SAM-e and the lactulose it will at least make her more comfortable and you said on the phone that the vet gave her some anti-nausea stuff. So that will help too.
Ask the vet for some lactulose for heaven's sake. Now it's difficult -- it is a laxative but it will get the liver numbers down enough for her to eat.
Have they given her Reglan or anything for the nausea?
