I hate starting begging threads esp on places I really don't post that much anymore but I really am beggging here - to rebuild my city is going to cost 10 - 20 billion dollars! so far 146 people are confirmed dead with well over 200 still missing 30 - 60% of the CBD is going to need to be bowled over. our second tallest building is threatening to colapse putting the lives of rescuers at risk and also the lives of any miracle suvivers though on day 5 and none found since day 2 it is not looking good :(
I have many friends who hve lost their homes - many others whose gardens are swamps of liquifaction and houses are trashed and without power and water.
it really is quite messed up because I am in the same city and I had 6 things fall off shelves and nothing broke - most of the homes on my side of town from the street apear to have no damage we have power and water have had since day 1 though the water needs boiling .
my city is crippled my heart and the hearts of every person from Christchurch are totally broken - everyone is still in shock,still greiving and everyone either knows someone who has died or is still missing or someone who knows someone.
so PLEASE everyone if you can spare even a small amount of money it woukld be greatly apreciated - if you google New Zealand red cross Christchurch earthquake you will be able to find out how to donate please tell all your friends for the sake of my friends who need the help so badly.
