gosh we missed you! Callie is the nexus that keeps all us old-timers sorta kinda in the loop - I hardly ever get here. Max and Scotty and Jody are 12 now - my gosh, they were six-month old pups when we first arrived here. How's your little girl, besides growing like a weed?
I am so so so glad you came back by. we've had too many empty spaces in the circle.
Diamond has a "naturals" line that seems pretty decent, available at the feed and seed store, adn my guys not only like it but seem to eat less of it than cheaper stuff, i guess because they're getting enough nutrition from smaller amounts of kibble. Callie also told me long ago, when a friend of mine was facing layoffs, that if you go to the funky ethnic grocery stores you can get beef hearts really cheaply and they are good for dogs. Heart and oatmeal and some punkin or whatever is hanging off the vendor's carts at the farmers' market...cheap eats.
You might be able to set up "care credit" through your vet, that acts like a low-interest credit card if you really get hit with something major.
