My rescued Springer, Brownie, has always been shy and retiring for a lot of reasons - being deaf and blind makes him hesitant- but even so I can see that little hyperreactive streak that is part of this breed. At the extremes, they are prone to partial complex seizures that can trigger aggression. What you describe does not look like that. But I'd sure go with TCVM! It's done wonders for my babies.
