Sorry it's been such an insanity-fest.

Do be cautious tho -- because thyroid levels can be tough to regulate and they can go HYPER (too much) in pretty much a heartbeat and then you get high blood pressure, etc. In honesty, it sounds to me like his meds could be too high -- so go have them checked.

Now my preference is always to send thyroid panels to Dr. Dodds (I've linked it in) -- she's the lady who "invented" breed-specific thyroid panels and she rocks at working with your vet on getting it all balanced.

When you have the levels rechecked (and NO VET will tell you this) -- you want the blood pulled 4-6 hours post-pill. Meaning, if your vet appt it for 10:00 a.m. you want to give him his pill no later than 6:00 a.m. for it to be in the bloodstream PROPERLY for it to register the drug.

She's the only one (aside from Michigan State Vet School) who will tell you that -- and it makes SUCH a huge difference in getting it regulated properly.

You should see a better coat, yes, and better energy levels, but honestly not thru the roof like that.

There are 1001 different supplements out there and those too sometimes have to be adjusted. Now Billy uses Armour Thyroid -- which is a porcine glandular (it's actually pork thyroid) and I get a super coat with it.

But there are MANY. The difference in Billy's coat was stellar (it resolved SO many allergy issues for us) -- but yes, I saw an increase in activity, but not to that degree.

Now, Farley may just be feeling "good" as opposed to hurting, and that may account for some of it. But **beware** -- hyper thyroid is bad -- because hypertension in dogs is as lethal as it is in humand and most vets NEVER check their blood pressure.

But dang -- can't you ask the neighbor to uproot the nightshade? IT's lethal for animals and humans -- I'm glad Farley made it thru that ok!!

WE've missed you Drew!! Welcome back!!
