Oh Callie...only a true lover of animals would've taken the time you did to respond to my post. It must've been the hand of God that directed me to this site. I wasn't even looking for training info. at first, just logged on Petfinder.com to tell my friend about it. Somehow I got from Petfinder to a site with training videos right on the site, and I looked for info on training a fearful dog - nothing there - but did find the training video on crating. I watched it, and then found another one and watched it. And that's when I began to realize what I'd already feared...that I may very well have allowed this person to harm my dog instead of help. I must've gotten from there to the Canine Club site through some link or another, and voila...there was the message board. I took a shot someone could help, and as it turns out there you were!!
I had already scheduled another training session with this guy, and was feeling increasingly anxious about going forward with it. You've really helped me decide what to do. I'm canceling first thing in the morning.
I am going to print your reply and study it. I don't want to take a great deal more of your time, but do you mind if I email you directly if I have questions? I'm so fearful of making a mistake and aggravating the situation, that I may need some clarification. Or can you give me some pointers (no pun intended) on how to find a good local trainer that can help me out with this...
Thanks again, Callie. I do so appreciate you taking the time to offer your advice.
Georgi
