Round, Whip, and hook. NOT FUN. (Not my first incident. can you tell?) Cold-water tail is a retriever-based symptom where a dogs tail suddenly appears dead/broken, about 2 inches out. Usually caused by vigorous use of the tail immediately after swimming in cold water... Farley had it from wagging to greet me at the door, no cold water. They don't know what causes it - muscular, or nerves.. 2-14 days to get better....
