Have you done just plain basic "obedience" with her yet? Even if she KNOWS 99.9% of it, going back to basics **with you** can increase her confidence, and you can work on those borderline separation anxiety issues (like ask the trainer to let you and someone else 'switch' dogs so Velma gets used to working with someone else, so you can hand someone a leash and say "I gotta go to the bathroom -- stay with Mrs. Schmuckatella for a minute ok??" and then just go around a corner or something.

But if she knows even some of the basics, then a basic obedience class can be a super reward on top of firming things up.

THEN -- try Rally. It's not as super competitive and it's not injurious.

Rally is just basic obedience commands put into little "stations" -- like the first one might be "sit", "right turn", "lie down", or "left turn" - it's just basic commands strung together in patterns, and then each dog is 'judged'.

Somewhat competitive but fun if you want somewhere else to go after basic.

By the way -- welcome!! We aren't a zoomy message board but there are nice folks who hang here!
