Dogs truly don't have good sight to begin with -- it's their 'least' sense and their nose and ears tell them SO much more. So adjusting to sight loss is really not hard for them. On US?? Yes -- but not so much on them.
It never ceases to amaze me how well dogs deal with diabetes -- again, most humans have a giant fit about it and dogs just say "Hey, no biggie". My best friend's dog had diabetes -- went blind within a year but then lived like 13 more years (and she was already 3-4 when she got diabetes).
Cushings is tough but can be managed pretty well and the meds today are far better than they used to be.
