Subject:	hip dysplasia?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about hip dysplasia or possibly arthritis? Nikki has suddenly started favouring her rear left leg. It not constant...it occurs when we are out on a walk and it seems to come up after around 30 minutes of walking. Her rear legs will spread apart more than her usual walking stance and she starts to limp every few steps on her left leg. I will call the vet and speak to her about it but thought I'd post here in case anyone has experience with this. Also, if it is hip dysplasia, what can be done about it? Nikki is 8 1/2 years, about 40lbs, and is a lab/sheltie/shepherd mix.

Any help or info is appreciated.
