Hiya - I'm a longtime lurker and occasional poster (last post about 3 years ago I think!) - I have a question - am trying to get an older (new to me) dog to recognise his (new and first sadly) name, so I can let him off leash outdoors. He doesn't run away but isn't used to the human interaction so doesn't come to me when I call him. If I make a big squealy fuss then he might bound over but for him to be safe I need to get him to understand recall - any suggestions? He's not deaf.
