The vet didn't want to do the blood test. He said at a month over 4 years old, the chances of it being her kidneys are uhm... "nonexistant" I believe is the word he used.

He did the xrays I asked for, and as of midday it showed something in her stomach when nothing should be there. He wants to wait for the rest of the barium xray series to be sure.

If so, the next step is operating to remove it. Then life long meds. Probably only one med... the one that gets the stomach contracting and so emptying in a reasonable amount of time. (I don't have the names in front of me right now). He said the costs would be a lot lower than it was for the 10 pills.

He said without the meds she is at risk for torsion because the low molidity (or whatever that word is) leaves the contents of her stomach stretching the ligements and such around her stomach. He said it is genetic, and nothing to do with nutrition, although fats always take longer to digest so make the problem/symptoms worse.

I don't know if he is right or not... he was convincing but I have a lot of trust in you.

Either way, I believe the stuff in her stomach is rements of her blanket and that he is competent to do the surgery and whatever else is going on, we need to do that. And that is as far as I've gotten.

When she is well enough, I want to see how she does with the dandelion and go from there.
