She vomits bile, I think... yellow watery looking stuff that acts like very thin raw egg white when I clean it up. I rarely see chunks of anything in it.
I called him back, I didn't want to just wait and see if the meds work. She is in the vet hospital overnight tonight. He is going to do a flat xray to look for foreign stuff in the stomach, and if that doesn't show anything (he didn't seem to think it would), a barium xray series tomorrow. That will show him for sure whether there is any blanket remants in there, and how fast things are moving through her stomach.
He thinks she has low mo - something... almost mobility but not quite, it means her stomach moves things through much too slowly. He said if that is what the problem is, she has probably always had it and is now at risk for torsion. If that is it, then she will be on the meds the rest of her life but that that will take care of it. But the meds were $60 for 5 days... not counting the antibiotic. I just can't do that for the rest of her life. I'm hoping it isn't all of them, or as often or that there is a difference between getting 10 and getting a month's worth or something.
I don't have much history with the vet, he is the one a few people recommended but we didn't know the people very well. I still don't know anyone else enough to trust their recommendations much better. I mean, I know some people now, but none that I would ask about vets.
