I didn't know, but I've been netsearching a lot about contagious stuff in dogs to protect Chammy from anything I might pick up at the shelter I started working at.

I got this from www.peteducation.com it has some long number/letter web address of the kind that I always get wrong when I try to link it, so I got to it from googling "bordetella contagious"
