Subject:	Question about kennel cough

Wow it's been a long time since I've been here.

I was wondering if anyone can answer this questions. I am a dog walker and one of my clients dogs have kennel cough. I've read that the actual coughing usually clears up in a couple of weeks but that the dogs will shed bordetella organisms for up to 3 months after infection. So my question is, can other dogs still contract kennel cough from this shedding or is it safe for me to take them back out once the actual coughing has stopped? I always have other dogs with me in the van and we go to an off leash dog park.

I hope someone can answer this for me. I've searched and searched online and can't seem to find an answer.
