I am glad you suggested a workup for Blondie as well. I didn't think of that. She is 12 and could well have something going on that I can't see but Frankie could smell. And the more I think of exactly what happened just before and after the incident, the more it looks neurological to me. The absolute suddenness, coupled with the abrupt clearing of Frankie's senses afterward....Once I got him inside he appeared to have no idea what had happened, no idea why I was upset with him, and seemed to be trying to conciliate me. Later, he tried to comfort Blondie! It was like he didn't remember the attack at all. It truly has the look of the way humans with partial complex seizures can go on a rampage, then calm down in a flash and have no apparent memory for what happened. So the vet workup is starting today.
