Yes, I don't want to bring any germs home to Chammy. I thought of slipping shoes off before getting into the car, but not of all the other things. I hope to find a place to change before leaving there, and our garage has no windows, so I could change again in there. And get a plastic sheet to sit on in the car.

If I get the job (I'm hopeful, the interview went pretty well, although, afterwards I thought of things I should said differently, of course), they will welcome any volunteer stuff I want to do after hours. Like working with the adoptable animals to help them be more adoptable and make better transistions after being adopted. I wouldn't be restricted from working with them like the usual volunteers are.

I really liked the animal control person, she understood what I was talking about regarding things like body language making such a big difference in how relaxed/stressed the dogs are. And how a big need of the dogs is social interaction but cats are stressed by interaction (and how long it takes to tame a feral or even semiferal cat).

I should know by late tomorrow or early Thur, if I made the final four, and they want someone asap, so the decision shouldn't take long after that.
