I have been toying with idea of medicating her for a long time but was worried about the long-term effects... but weighing that up against the long-term effects of her fear, I can now see that medication is the best option.

And thanks for the citronella collar advice. My partner was adament we give it a try, but I'm not going to now.

Thanks again - you've been so helpful. I will phone the vet today.
