He's just doing great. Went to the vet over the weekend - he's able to get his first shots now and he has GROWN! So far, systems look good, kidney function is fine....there is so much we WON'T know until he is older. We're just taking it slow.

Besides being velcroed to me, he seems to have come out of the ordeal without a lot of fearfulness. He is playing well with the others, playing with the cats (!) and learning the rules. When I talk to him his ears flip up and he looks just like Yoda. He talks back, too; I've been singing to him since he arrived, and he has started singing back in this sort of melodious soft gurgle. There is some sort of spaniel or bird dog in him somewhere; his fur is getting all feathered on his legs and ears.

Best news of all: there've been some problems with the rescue transport group I've been working with; the key people are struggling with some horrific health issues in their families. I found a local group that is very well run and does GREAT adoptions. They took in eight of my foster puppies and there will be a good family for Pippin as soon as he is able to get the rest of his vet work done.
