Just me, jumping in the register my total excitment at getting to meet Callie and David. I was so disappointed when it looked like they were coming on a weekend I had to be out of town. I know how hard this trip will be but I'm just so happy that its all working out.

Lulu is a sweetheart but Callie and David are going to have their hands full. Pugs are the most energetic of any breed I've ever worked with. They rank up there with terriers. They don't ever seem to grow up. My guys are well over 5 and they still act like puppies. I was excited to learn that Lulu is a real people pug because that will be a big bonus in therapy work. We have yet to have one of our rescued pugs become a full fledged therapy dog. The other up side is that I have only met maybe 2 pugs that did not adore children and vice versa.

Lulu went to her foster mom on Friday. She has quite a fan club and has had visitors almost every day. Lulu has gotten get well wishes from as far away as France. She doesn't like being alone and is quite adept at getting the strongest of hearts to bend to her every wish and whim. We have had numerous offers to adopt her and I've turned every one down but gently redirected them to the 34 other pugs we currently have. Lulu's story has caused quite a stir in many ways but my hope is that someone will learn from her story and that other pugs and "special" dogs will benefit.

I know she's in the best hands ever and get ready for the postings because Lulu is going to bring quite a lot of excitement to Callie's house!
