I took Chammy to the vet today, thinking she might have a bladder infection. She does.

The vet said the urinalysis didn't show white blood cells, but something else (my bad, I can't remember what) showed she had an infection. At first he said it was probably a fluke and odds were she wouldn't get reoccurances. Then, another part of the urinalysis was completed and he said there were struvite crystals and they need to be taken care of (with a diet change). He gave her Caphalexin capsules and Methioform chewable tablets. One is an antibiotic and the other changes the ph of the urine. He wanted to give her canned dog food but I explained how much trouble she has with food intolerance/allergy, so he have her the ph changer pills instead. He said to look for dog food with low magnesium, he looked like he thought I wouldn't find any nonprescription ones. He offered "UID-control" and Science Diet c/d or s/d.

Anyway, Callie, as I was looking for what has been posted here about uti's, I saw that you might have a packet of info you could email. I would appreciate it if you could. Saysfaa then the at sign then hot mail then a period then com Thank you.
