If you want your dog to walk when you want it too and do the things you want; you have to start out by having a positive state of mind you should be patient with your dog. DO NOT TUG ON THE COLLAR! that defeats the whole pupose of walking your dog. first before walking your dog make sure that she is comfortable with the collar. i do not recommend choke collars. just imagine you were being forced to walk while someone is choking you. what i suggest is a harness collar. put the collar leash on her before you walk her and let her walk around the house. Now that you have the collar on without her trying to take it off. with a firm voice tell her its time for a walk and give her a treat. once outside do not pull on her collar to make her walk just stand beside and begin to walk if she sits there take out a high qaulity treat and show it to her where you are standing if she comes to you give her the treat and pet her. While she is eating the treat begin to walk once more. the only time you are allowed to tug on her collar is to prevent her from walking somewhere you do not want her to go. this a long process and will take time. you must be patient and have a calm assertive energy. do not get frustrated with your dog. if she starts to bite and jump you simply stop the walk and say no with a firm voice without saying the puppies name. do not move or tug on the collar. Refrain from tugging on the collar. What her mind is telling her is that it is play time and will keep doing this behavior until you calm yourself down and make her understand that it is not a game. remember do not get discouraged by the dog you have. every dog is trainable you just have to be calm and relaxed. hope this helps
