I have two female mice, Penelope and Yuffie. Penelope had a damaged leg when I bought her and later I noticed she was sneezing and making strange audible sounds. So I took her to the vet that treated small animals and they gave her an antibiotic. She sounds much better now with only a little sneezing and no congestion. But I separated the mice when I took Penelope to the vet and now I'm rejoining them and they are now chasing each other.. it doesn't look like fighting but I'm concerned it might become fighting. Should I leave them alone? Or separate them again? I have two cages.. so would it be best to attach both cages?

I'm also concerned that Penelope is mad me. She won't let me pick her up anymore and when she sniffs me she runs away. I think it's because last time I picked her up she got a shot from the vets (I was the one holding her down so she wouldn't run away). Will I ever gain her trust back?

Thanks for reading!
