I adopted a rat a few weeks ago. He appears to be a juvenile male and is in good health. However, when I put him in his exercise ball he freezes up and won't use it. I've tried nudging it, sitting across the room and calling to him but nothing works. Is it possible that someone abused him by doing horrible things to him in his ball? How can I get him to use it? He needs exercise!
