I am not thrilled about shipping cats as cargo on planes. If one of your household can afford to fly to your destination with the cat in a carrier with her in the passenger compartment, that would work. Otherwise, I'd vote for putting her in a carrier on someone's lap or under their feet for the trip. A bit cramped, but hey, it's not forever and you do want your kitty with you in your new place, right? Seriously, those are about the only ways I can think of that would work well and ensure kitty's safety and well-being.
