My cat has late stage kidney failure and I'm giving her dialysis (via I.V.) She has always been tiny, won't eat but maybe a teaspoon of food a day (and only when offered numerous times by hand)and just wants to go outside and hide. The vets say It may take two weeks to see if the I.V. works. It's been over a week now and she isn't any better. I always adopt adult animals from shelters. I've had her 6 years, but after $700 in vet bills, no one can tell me how old she is. Just when I think I should put her to sleep. She staggers up on my lap and starts purring. When is enough?
