And the female will take care of the babies. Just make sure she has plenty of high calcium veggies (see www.guinealynx.com for a list of high calcium veggies). If you leave the female in they will back breed... causing health problems for the female for having one litter after another. Also, if they are Syrian (golden, come in many colors though, don't let the name fool you) hamsters, they are solitary animals and don't need to be with friends anyway, and will often fight to the death if kept in pairs.
