Yikes, please don't leave the father in. The father may not harm the babies, however, the father will get your female hamster pregnant again (probably has already done so) and not only contribute to the overpopulation problem with hamsters, but also will cause her health problems from back to back breedings. The mother hamster should be able to take care of the hamster babies on her own. Just give her plenty of high calcium veggies and make sure she stays healthy. For a list of high calcium veggies see www.guinealynx.com even though that is a guinea pig website, the vegetables are still safe for hamsters as well.
