Subject: Dogs in heat...scent control
Date: September 23, 2003 at 7:20 pm PST

About 20 years ago, I was going out of town and leaving my female dog with my sister, who had her brother. As luck would have it, she came into heat just before we left town. An assistant at my vet's office suggested I try chlorophyl pills to get rid of the scent. It worked! The two dogs were together for a week and the male never even noticed that the female was in heat. I can't remember the dosage but my dog was a lab mix...and rather large. My boyfriend now wants to use this method of scent control for his female. She's a very small dog...maybe 5 pounds. Has anyone ever used chlorophyl tablets with success?...and how much should he use? Or are there other products on the market now for this problem? Thanks in advance.....
