I'm hoping there's someone who has experienced this: My cat had a growth removed from the inside of her ear in January 2008. It turned out to be amelanotic melanoma. It has since grown bag bigger than before. My vet suggests re-excising the tumor or removing the ear (all tissue from closest to head to tip of the ear).

I'm unsure as to which route to take. I certainly don't want to have this thing excised once a year if it's going to keep coming back. My vet doesn't seemed to be concerned about it spreading to her organs.

Also, can a cat function normally with only one ear?

Thanks very much!
