Hi, I just put my cat Ozzy down this morning. We assume it was cancer...but I did not get a post mortem done this time. It seems that every dog or cat that I have had has died of cancer....in the stifle, on the tongue, and most often overtaking numerous internal organs. I have used different foods over the years...mostly top of the line ones....and even a raw diet once, which the cats proceeded to barf all over the house....and am currently feeding Medi-Cal from the vet's office. I have 5 cats still at home. One is on a special diet for chronic urinary problems (crystals) and the others are on a lower calorie diet as everyone is over 10 years old now and not quite as active as in their younger years. My question is this....does anyone else have recurrant problems with cancer in pets? Do you think it is food related? Maybe the water (I have moved several times over the years and have had very different water sources)? Is it stress (I don't THINK that they are stressed?)? What types of food do you feed and have you had good success with it? I am looking for any answers as I am getting very frustrated by this happening and don't want it to continue. I don't know what to do to make it stop. Any suggestions would be GREAT! Thanks!!!
