I had to put my baby to sleep 11/17/06
She was diagnosed at 6 weeks and the vet also wanted to put her to sleep. He told me that she wouldn't live past 3 years and the end would be horrible.
I had her spayed 3 months ago. She came through surgery fine.
Then I noticed her energy level was changing. She wasn't eating or drinking.
I forced fluids and food into her. I was determined she wasn't going to die!
But, sadly I lost the fight. She fought for breath the whole night. She was very shaky and couldn't walk very far.
I knew it was time. It was so hard! I loved her so much.
She was 14 months old when she left me. I will miss her forever. I wouldn't have missed those 14 months with her for anything.
The end came to quickly for me.
