Subject:         My cat pees on blankets and clothes Help!!!
Date: April 12, 2006 at 5:37 am PST

Our year and a half fixed male cat pees on clean blankets and clean clothes. I've rubbed his nose in it every time and put him in the laundry room for punishment but he keeps doing it. Now that I know he'll pee on clothes I've been good about putting clothes in a room on the bed and then closing the door until I can fold them. Recently I noticed a puddle on the tile floor in the living room,it was pee. Why would he pee on the tile? So I clean it up but the very next day I go into the living room and it stinks bad like pee. We accidently left a blanket on the back corner of the couch. Yep, he peed on it and it had gone through to a couch pillow and the back of the couch. It took me almost 2 hours to shampoo it out. I think we're going to get rid of him. I don't want the furniture ruined but my fiance doesn't want me to get rid of the cat and my two kids have been crying since I told them he's going. I now feel like the bad guy what should I do? Oh, it's not a bladder infection we took him to the vet when this first started happening and he's our only cat.
