I have two kittens, ok, they're not so much kittens anymore as cats, but anyhow, both tested positive for feline leukemia. I was upset at first but have enjoyed two wonderful years with them bouncing and racing around. Apparently, there could be a shortened life span but I've seen no difference in behavior or personality from that of any leukemia-free cats. They obviously are house cats but that's safer anyhow. Neither of the clinics I've taken the cats too suggested putting them to sleep.
