A newborn baby lives in a steril enviroment for 9 months. If there is a cat in the house, the parents first look to the cat, and unfortunitly, so does the pediatrition. The baby is going to be allergic to everything for a while, because she is getting used to all the smells, and particles around her. It may not even be the cat. Getting rid of the cat is just a simple fix that might not even work. I work at a cat shelter and get people calling me every day wanting to re locate their pet. All I ask is that you try to make it work. After all, your cat was your first baby. You may think i sound judgemental, but I am the opposite. I am going to be an Aunt soon, and my brother has 2 kitties that he loves very much. The last thing that I want is my Neice to get sick because of allergies.
