it would do no good to rehome the cats unless they were also willing to move to a new house that had never had cats because the dander was already so intrical to the house. Even with the cats gone, even with extensive cleaning, repainting, etc, there is no way to get the dander out. it seems to me that if it would do no good to rehome the cats for that reason, that there would be even less point in keeping them out of the baby's room while they continued living in the same house.
